What is the Office Document Cache in PowerPoint
The Office Document Cache is a concept used in Microsoft Office Upload Center to give you a way to see the state of files you are uploading to a SharePoint server. By using Office Document Cache you can keep complete control and track how uploads are progressing and whether any files need your attention.
You can manage the Office Document Cache settings by customizing the settings in the Microsoft Office Upload Center. In PowerPoint you can configure to use Office Document Cache to save your PowerPoint presentations.
How to clear the Office Document Cache
Sometimes this cache must be cleared especially when you get some errors on any file, document or presentation that you attempt to upload to the server. You can click on Delete cached files to clear the content of the Office Document Cache.
If the error you are getting is something like: Could not open https://yourserver.sharepoint.com/site/Shared Documents/example.pptx then you can go to Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office 2010 Tools -> Microsoft Office 2010 Upload Center and then click Delete button.
Note: In Spanish you can find this program under Centro de Cargas de Microsoft Office.
