We Are Sorry, Something Went Wrong with PowerPoint

Working with Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 and folders in the cloud may cause PowerPoint to show this error message “We’re sorry something went wrong that might make PowerPoint Unstable”.

If this error happens, there are a few things you can try. First of all, if it is a Dropbox folder where you have the shared files, make sure nobody else is working on the same file and close any File Explorer window or Finder window showing the same directory in any other computer.

If you are working inside a Virtual Machine (VirtualBox or VMWare, for instance) then try to restart the virtual machine and signing in again to Windows.
