MotionPath for PowerPoint is a free addin that you can download from here which can help to quickly determine the end position of the animation at design time and align or join existing motion paths.

This tool can align the selected motion path in a shape end to end. Individual segments of motion can be consolidated to create a single continuous path for PPT animations.
