FreeFileViewer Opens Files From Audio, Video, Image And Document Formats
One often requires installing various applications to open different types of image, document, audio and video files, including paid application suites like Microsoft Office. FreeFileViewer is a free software which allows viewing files from various formats including MS Word, MS Excel, PDF, TXT, JPG, PNG, GIF, PSD, as well as videos and audio files. While this application does not support PowerPoint files, however, you can open and edit documents from MS Word and Excel format, including Doc, DOCX, XLS and XLSX. Furthermore, you can also open BIN, CFG, DIZ and DAT files, (such as winmail.dat files).

Opening Files With FreeFileViewer
To open a file with FreeFileViewer, launch the application and open a file via File –> Open. Alternatively, you can use the Windows right-click context menu to open a file from a supported format. FreeFileViewer automatically adds this option in the Windows right-click menu after installation. Just right-click on any file from a supported format and select Open with FreeFileViewer to open the respective file.
Open Audio And Video Files
The below image displays a video file running in FreeFileViewer. While you might not receive a lot of options for managing running videos or audio files, however having an application that can open files from various formats itself is quite a convenience, especially for computers with legacy hardware. The supported video formats include; FLV, MP4, MPG, XVID, MOV and others, whereas the supported audio formats include MP3, OGG, FL0AC and WMA.
Open And Edit MS Word And Excel Files
As mentioned earlier, you can open and edit MS Excel and MS Word files using FreeFileViewer, which includes elaborate spreadsheets (as shown in the below image).
PDF And Image Files
FreeFileViewer also supports viewing image files from the most common formats like JPG, GIF, PNG and PSD. Similarly, you can view PDF files without installing resource intensive PDF viewers.
